Our Story

After decades inspecting and auditing commercial kitchens — from Michelin-starred restaurants to school canteens — I kept seeing the same problem: plastic chopping boards failing basic hygiene standards and being thrown away. It became my own kitchen nightmare.

That’s why I created ABOVE BOARD®: a smarter, safer, and more sustainable solution.

In too many kitchens, plastic boards mean cut marks, damage, staining, and microplastics. It’s wasteful, unhygienic, and harmful to the planet.

Our mission is simple: raise standards and cut plastic waste — one board at a time.
